Flight Instructor (FI) / Class Rating Instructor (CRI)

FI (Flight Instructor)

The Flight Instructor course is carried out in individual mode, the course has a maximum duration of six months, so as to give everyone the opportunity to do it without using their holidays:

  • PHASE 1 Teaching & Learning – theoretical course of 3/4 days to learn the basics of teaching and their structure.
  • PHASE 2 Flight Missions – Each flight mission is preceded by two theory phases; one performed by the instructor and one by the student instructor. During the flight the instructor “plays” to the pupil simulating his behaviour and mistakes. Each flight mission ends with a de briefing.

At the end of the 34 missions a skill test must be carried out.

CRI (Class Rating Instructor)

The CRI instructor is a class instructor, not qualified to instruct ab-initio students.
